Our mission is to give every student a rigorous, hands-on technical education — and the judgment to apply it well in the world.
Vision
We aim to be the region's most trusted small college for engineers and technologists, known for practical teaching, honest research, and graduates who build things that last.
History
Founded in 1962 as a riverside training school for machinists and electricians, the institute became a four-year college in the 1980s. Today about 2,400 students study across four departments, still on the same twelve acres by the river.
